ROCKBROS Triangular Frame Bike Bag
This triangular shaped bag sits under the cross bar of your bike and provides a high degree of convenience within easy reach even if accessing while still sitting on your bike. This bag comes in 5 litre or 8 litre sizes. I opted for the larger 8 litre size which isn’t physically that big as bags go and attaches to the top bar and upright by means of five velcro straps. The dimensions of this bag have been deliberately kept on the narrow size and as such even when full you hardly even notice that it’s there. In fact when using my bike I tend to forget it’s there because it doesn’t inhibit movement or get in the way. One thing you need to be aware of if you purchase this bag or for that matter and other brand, is that the layout of your bike needs to match the dimensions of the bag and as such you need to take a tape measure to the triangular area of your bike to ensure the dimensions of the bag will work for you.
Like any bag being used for bike packing its going to be exposed to the elements so needs to have a degree of waterproofing either with a rain cover of some sort or in the case of this style of bag, through the use of a durable waterproof material and waterproof zip.
What you use this bag for is really going to be up to you but in my case this has become my food storage bag. I can manage to hold 3-4 days of food at a time. Each day I will ensure that my snacks for the day are at the top so I don’t have to rummage through the whole bag to retrieve them.
This style of bag is definability a good option for your backpacking trips and at AUD $39.99 won’t break the bank as you put your bike packing kit together.
