Expedition Pack

Jargon

Definition

A larger backpack that typically ranges in size from 65 litres + in capacity and designed for hauling large and/or heavy loads usually for extended hikes. These larger capacity packs are usually very robust with additional padding to deal with the additional weight often resulting in a heavier pack even before you start adding your own gear.

Expedition packs are often used by commercial guides who will be carrying additional gear for the group.
