We hadn’t come across gear from the Seattle-based UCO until last year. UCO stands for ‘Utility, Comfort and Originality’ which is what UCO has been doing for the camping and hiking sector since 1971. UCO produces a range of products including eating and drinking utensils, lanterns and portable power.
The UCO Utility Spork serves three functions in one – it is a fork with a micro serrated cutting edge on one side for serious cutting effort and a smooth edge on the other for easy food separation, and it is a spoon. The fork and spoon have generous dimensions without being overly bulky.
The handle has two holes which reduces weight but also means you can tether your spork so it doesn’t get lost and so you can hang it to dry. One criticism is that given the compact size of this spork, it won’t suit those people who have larger hands.
The UCO Utility Spork comes single or as a 4-pack so you can share with a friend or have one for main meal and one for your dessert so the flavours don’t get mixed.
The Utility Spork a nice looking spork that comes in nine colours in total! If you want a well designed and super durable eating utensil then the UCO Utility Spork might be the one for you.
