Over the past five years I have been using packing cells with glow in the dark zipper pulls and I love them. It makes it so easy to find things when its dark and means you don’t have to turn the torch on in the middle of the night potentially blinding anyone else in the vicinity.
With the exception of my packing cells and my tents, none of my other gear including my main pack have glow in the dark zipper pulls. In addition my five-year-old day pack has had so much use that the zipper pull on the pack brain was worn through and needed replacing. I could have replaced them with a stock zipper pull which would have been cheaper. Instead I decided to replace the pack brain zipper pull on both my day pack and main pack with the MSR Night Glow Zipper Pulls.
These glow in the dark zipper pulls are only a simple little accessory but they improve the overnight experience enormously. They can also be used as a glow in the dark tag for other pieces of equipment. Once you use these pulls you will never go back.
