Big Three

Definition

This is a term often bandied about in articles on hiking and refers to your backpack, sleep system, and shelter system. These three particular items (group of items) are usually the greatest contributor to the weight that you carry on an overnight height.

If you are looking at ways to minimise the weight that you are carrying on your back then these items are the best pace to start.
