Ultralight Hiker

jargon

Definition

An ultralight hiker is one who carries a base weight of 4.5kg (10 pounds). Base weight includes the pack, the sleep system, the shelter and all other accessories. Food, water, and stove fuel are not included in this weight.

The idea with being an ultralight hiker is that the lest you carry the easier it is to hike.

Note the lightweight pack that is trimmed down to the bare minimum
